Strudel R is a little hairy in the photo however I think she will be barely recognisable by the time of the auction. This will be a great story of the ugly duckling. However the other thing to note in the photo is how high off the ground Strudel R is and how effortlessly she has achieved this amazing defiance of gravity. In the photo shoot nearly every second photo of Strudel R showed this extraordinary elevation. She is indeed a baby Nureyev.�

Strudel R has very modern bloodlines. Starnberg was a black licensed Oldenburg stallion who had mastered piaffe and passage and one-time changes and canter pirouettes by the time he was six years of age. Starnberg is a freak.�

The mother of Strudel R, Frumpet R, is by Fiji R who carries the Florencio bloodlines. Florencio was the World Dressage Young Horse Champion as a 5yo and a 6yo. Fiji R has been trained and campaigned primarily by Young Rider Breanna Tilitzki and Breanna and Fiji R are having great success at Prix St Georges and Inter I level. Frumpet R is out of Josie R who in turn is by Jive Magic who is considered one of the most powerful Grand Prix horses ever in Australia. Right down the bottom line is Anky who is by Ilkay who is a very good Dutch stallion imported into Australia but used sparingly.

Much of these bloodlines are not readily available to everybody and I think that Strudel R is a unique opportunity.
